About Us
SHINEON is also the proud home of GUY HARRIS. Premium fashion tees designed and printed in NZ. HISTORY Shineon has been steadily growing since 2006 and was started up by husband and wife team Gene and Fee Kirkpatrick. After dating for 6 years Gene Kirkpatrick asked Fee to marry him. Fee said yes and then they set about organising a wedding that they couldnt really afford. In order to help with the costs Fee thought she would sell a few of her beloved wardrobe items on Trademe. SHINEON ON TRADEME When looking to sign up on trademe fee needed a trademe name! A song came to mind that reminded her of University days and a friend called Charlotte. Shineon you crazy diamond by Pink Floyd. And so it was! Shineon became Fees trademe name. BUSY TIMES Time went on and Fee was too busy to cope. Her time was spent frantically vintage shopping but with orders coming in left right and centre and fashion fuelled girlees demanding more she needed help! Fee convinced her very skeptical husband to quit his job and work from home sending fashion out to the masses! SHINEON LOVES GENE Gene was such a wonderful addition to the shineon empire! As an artist with Loads of Graphic design experience he set about creating a Tee shirt brand that has been very well recieved by NZ men and women alike! The brand can be found here on shineon."GUY HARRIS" Genes creative and fun energy was also just what fee needed at home to keep her passion for the business alive! Gene and Fee now run SHINEON full time from their home in Titirangi whilst singing the ABCS to their baby son Elijah. SHINEON VALUES We sell a lot of preloved items on SHINEON.. this is because we believe that a mix of vintage and new items are what really creates a unique and exciting wardrobe. Preloved garments are also how many of us can afford to have the big name designers play such a part in our everyday lives!! Please look for information on whether an item is new or preloved. Both are available here on Shineon in order to suit everybody! If purchasing a preloved item.. please note that we are very fussy when it comes to quality and condition here at Shineon. We have the policy that "if we wouldnt wear an item, we wont sell an item."
